Serve

"...just as [Jesus] did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." ~Matthew 20:28

How do you feel called to serve, in the church, in your community, in the world around us?  Service to others is one of the core practices of Christian life, and one of the most tangible ways we can show God's love to others. Explore the links below for all the ways you can come alongside others at Arcola in being Jesus' hands and feet for the world.

Help Provide Bedding for Shelter House Residents

Throughout the month of October, we are partnering with Crossroads UMC to support Shelter House, Loudoun’s homeless shelter, with much-needed bedding for residents.

As colder weather approaches, Shelter House typically sees an increase in residents and prepares to open its Hypothermia Prevention Center, making the need for fresh bedding even greater. Currently, the shelter is requesting 150 pillows, 150 pillowcases, and 25 twin blankets.

You can help by purchasing these requested items through the Amazon link below and having your donation shipped directly to Shelter House.

Your gift will make an impact beyond a resident’s stay at the shelter. Residents use the bedding while they are at Shelter House and are able to take these items with them when they move into permanent housing, helping make their new space feel more like home.

Thank you for helping provide comfort, warmth, and a fresh start to our neighbors in Loudoun County.
