9am Worship
Guided by our Joyful Noise praise band, you'll worship God with live music from the band, guest musicians, prayer, and message from Pastor Chris.
Deep divisions have existed throughout the centuries in families and communities over how the Bible is understood. How do we understand the nature of scripture, and how should we interpret its passages? Many questions surround contradictions we see in scripture as well as interpreting the meaning of the Bible as we seek to understand and grow our faith. For instance, what do we do with the brutality of the Old Testament? Is God a mean God? How can we understand God’s love as we also witness God’s anger? Why are there two creation stories? Why does Paul teach that women should be silent in the church? Is the Bible inerrant? This series is to guide us today in gaining a deep appreciation for God’s Word so that we can continue to hear God speak to us in life-changing ways.
K-5 kids experience God's love through a dynamic, interactive worship and Sunday School experience at 10am each Sunday this summer, while adults worship in the Great Room.
Our youngest disciples - infants, toddlers and preschool age - are welcome in a more intimate classroom or nursery environment during worship services, where they learn about God's love for them through caring volunteers and age-appropriate activities. Nursery and preschool classrooms are located in the hallway between the Great Room and Ruth Hall; you can be directed there when you enter the Worship Center.
In Fall 2023, we will have a new children's schedule, with K-5 Sunday School during the 9am worship hour, Celebration Choir rehearsal and children's fellowship during the 10am hour, preschool/nursery care throughout the morning, and a chance for elementary children to worship with their families at 11am.
