As a church, we spend time each year in places outside of Northern Virginia, sharing God's love and being in service to others.
Mexico Mission Trip
This December, Arcola Church is sending a volunteer team of youth and adults - affectionately referred to as the “Blockheads” - to Rio Bravo, Mexico, to continue the partnership we've had with this community for over 20 years. In the past, we've built homes and school buildings, including a library in 2022; this year in 2023 we will be building a 6 x 8 meter classroom for a Junior High School in Rio Bravo, MX.
Trip dates are December 16 - 21, and is open to youth and adults ages 9th grade and up. Earn 50 service hours by participating. Total cost of the trip is $900, which includes a really cool t-shirt, food, and lodging at the LARC apartments (Scholarships available). Contact Pastor Chris or Molly Riedel with questions.
Whether or not you can travel to Mexico with the team, you can make an impact on the people of Rio Bravo by donating to help with the cost of the trip and building materials.
Sneedville, TN Summer Mission Trip
All rising 7th graders and older are welcome to join us for a road trip to Sneedville, a small rural town in Tennessee where we have a great time working together to repair homes for families - no experience is needed. Not only is this a wonderful opportunity to help others but it is also a great chance to build and grow relationships with each other. The 2024 trip is planned for June 23-28.
