Physical Activity Tips
Did you know that any activity is important to keep us healthy? Walking to your car, using the stairs rather than the elevator, even stretching – reaching for the stars is beneficial. So the Health and Wellness Ministry wants you to start moving. Let us know how you are doing with your physical activity. Make it a family affair- who can walk- ( not run) the fastest to the church building?
Here are FIVE potential benefits of Physical Activity...
1. Reduces risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers.
2. Controls weight
3. Strengthens bones and muscles
4. Improves mental health and mood
5. Improves ability to perform daily activities such as walking, thinking and mental clarity!
It is advised to be physically active 3-5 days a week for about 30 to 60 minutes an exercise workout.
Great exercises are: walking, running, swimming, weight or body resistance training, bicycling, etc.
