Honor Flight Greeting
Arcola Church will be greeting Veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War as they come to Washington DC to tour the monuments. Oftentimes, the greeting these men and women receive at the airport is the highlight of the trip. An Honor Flight veteran had this to say about his 2022 trip:
"THANK YOU FROM MY HEART TO ALL OF YOU HONOR FLIGHT SUPPORTERS. I was totally blown away... We felt so honored and special, something most of us Vietnam Era Veterans haven't experienced before...You people were the highlight of our trip...Your cheering, signs and well wishes will be cherished for the rest of our lives...Please let your children know how important they were to giving us one of the most special days of our life."
Please join our group as we celebrate these wonderful men and women and thank them for their service! We will meet in the main terminal at 8:30AM, the flight is scheduled to arrive at 9:00. Wear patriotic colors and bring a decorated poster or sign if you would like. We will have American flags for everyone.
