Welcome to Arcola Church
We're a faith community where you can learn about and grow in the love Jesus has for you, as we seek to “be strong and courageous” together, because God is with us.
A few things to expect when you're connected with Arcola Church:
You will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whether we're gathered virtually or in-person. Take the first step and join us for worship on a Sunday morning, and check out our Church Hub to learn more about what's happening this week.
The words of Joshua 1:9 have been driving our community since the COVID-19 crisis began. You can find the support and love to live into those promises in the midst of pandemic through:
worshiping online and in-person
No matter how you choose to attend, we worship together as a community with the same music, worship elements, and message. Teaching from Pastor Chris Riedel; contemporary worship music performed by our Joyful Noise band; traditional worship music with hymns performed by our choirs; community prayer; and an opportunity to break bread together for Communion; plus Children's Worship, nursery, and preschool care (with precautions in place). You can find our livestream service at arcolachurch.org/live, and register to attend in-person worship, Children's Worship, nursery and preschool care at arcolachurch.org/summerworship.
gathering safely in person
We're finding ways to connect in this season of vaccinations and ongoing pandemic precautions. Look for in-person and virtual events, music groups, and social gatherings to build community, connection, and growth in your walk with Jesus.
Caring and praying
Our Congregational Care Ministers and prayer team would love to pray over you and know how we can support you in this season.
Growing in faith through small groups
We discuss the the realities of life together, like finances, anxiety, eliminating racism, LGBTQ+ rights, and more, all in the light of Jesus’ sacrifice and love for the world. Learn more about the current groups here.
Sharing with and reaching out to YOUR NEIGHBORS
Using your time, talents, and treasure in service to others, in the midst of our own challenges during the pandemic, is a tangible way to live out your faith. Come together with us to engage a hurting and broken world with the grace of God through a variety of sharing and outreach missions, like partnering with Dulles South Food Pantry and neighboring schools.
