The purpose of the Elevation Dance Ensemble is to praise God through movement, bringing the dancers and all who witness our craft closer to knowing and loving God. "Let them praise His name with dancing, making melody to Him with tambourine and lyre!" (Psalm 149:3). The Elevation Dance Ensemble will lift God up through choreographed and improvised movement in worship services and special events throughout the year.
If you are interested in joining the Elevation Dance Ensemble, we ask that:
- you have a love of God to lift Him up through dancing
- you are ages 9+, with a young heart for sharing your gift of dance with others
- you have some dance training, a minimum of knowledge in ballet, lyrical, or jazz
- you are open to sharing your love of dance in worship
Our rehearsals will be both in person and virtual, if necessary, and all CDC and Virginia health guidelines of wearing masks and social distancing will be maintained for in-person rehearsals and worship services. Please email Jennifer Worthington or Tianna Durbin for more information and to be a part of this exciting addition to our Worship & Arts Ministry!

Arcola’s Summer in the Arts camp is a place for children and youth who are rising 3rd grade through 10th grade to explore and refine various art forms. This camp offers a variety of large group performing arts to include: singing, drama, percussion, and hands-on practice with various instruments. Classes in visual arts such as drawing and painting are also offered. The camp offers small group instruction so that students can learn a new skill or refine a skill. Examples of classes include, dance, sound engineering, guitar & Ukulele, acting classes, show choir, and much more! An important aspect to this camp is its focus on the surrounding community—a place where all students in the community can come and be immersed in the arts. The camp is offered each summer during the 4th week of July.
Exploring the Arts Day Camp for Rising 3rd-6th Grade (9am-4pm)
This camp is exploratory in nature in which students will be exposed to a variety of hands-on art forms for the purpose of finding the art forms they may be interested in refining for themselves. We believe exploring the arts at this age level is critical to the success of refining in later years. We also believe that everyone can excel in the arts!
Musical Drama Day Camp for Rising 7th-10th Grade (9am-4pm)
This youth camp will focus on drama and performing through script and music.
Summer in the Arts Camp for Adults (6-8pm)
Our newest camp for adults who have always wanted to become more artistic through art, singing, or learning to play an instrument. Class offerings include art, beginning/intermediate guitar, Everyone Can Sing, Basic Music Theory, The History of Music in the Church, and more! Class times are held in the evenings to accommodate daytime work schedules. The camp will be held on July 26-30, 2021.
